Why does God want us to love Him and obey His commands? Not so we don't get punished, so we don't miss out, etc . . . what struck me today is it's so we may ENJOY long life, so that it may GO WELL with us, and so we may INCREASE GREATLY in a land flowing with abundant blessings.
Forgive us, God, for being satisfied with less than Your best, for being content with so-so and small gains, for allowing things to rob us of the joy you intend us to have. Help us to seek You and love You with ALL our heart, ALL our soul, ALL our strength.
May we share Your love with others, not out of guilt, obligation, condemnation, pity, duty, or even peer pressure, but that the pure love of Christ would compel us. More, Lord.
