This morning, I dwelt mostly in the 2 Thessalonians passage . . . may it be said of the Atlanta Vineyard that we had perseverance and faith in all the perseuctions and trials we are enduring . . . the Lord, the LORD, will give relief to those who are troubled . . . in everything, may the name of our Lord Jesus be glorified in us.
As I meditated on these things, thd Lord took me to something that might not even seem related. My heart was broken within me over relational brokenness in the body of Christ. Bryan Ferry's song, "Let's Stick Together" (from the 70s) came to mind . . .
"The man has put us together now You ought to make it stick together Come on, come on, let's stick together"
(In the late 70s, my friends & I always referred to Jesus as "The Man")
Yes, let's stick together and not give the enemy even a little tiny toehold in our lives.
"How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! . . . For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life forevermore." (Psalm 133: 1, 3)
Later in the day, a while after I'd read today's page, I read an old prayer newsletter that Karen wrote with a devotional by Tozer on waiting on the Lord - I guess God really wanted me to get the point today :)
